I did a post like this for Thanksgiving and Christmas so now doing one for New Year’s Day as well to see if we serve traditional and maybe not so traditional foods compared to others around the world.
Our menu is the same every year and it is not a feast like we have for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Let’s compare menus and where we are located. So, to start off, we live in Alabama (USA) and eat around 2-4 pm, kind of like a late lunch/early supper. Yes, we say supper, not dinner!!
• fried cabbage with corned beef and onions
• black eyed peas
• potatoes (no specific way to prepare them, just whatever we decide for the day)
• cornbread
• dessert (nothing specific)
Ok, now it’s your turn!
– where are you located?
– what time do you eat?
– do you call it supper or dinner?
– what’s on your menu?
