I’m participating in Crimson’s Creative Challenge 98 hosted by Crispina Kemp using the provided image in 150 words or less. I titled this: THE PURPLE SNAKE SKIN HEELS.
Jolly as we were
Happy as we be
Amazed and amused
By what we were suddenly to see
Our walk through the woods
Made us curious as a cat
As we came upon a sight
That we stopped and stared at
No, it wasn’t trash
Nor old automobiles
But a perfectly good pair
Of purple snake skin heels
Dangling from a tree branch
As if purposely placed
To make us stare in awe
As our beating hearts raced
Still looking new
As if recently from a store
No longer on the shelf
But above the forest floor
Who put them there
Just out of reach
Like the pair we saw in a palm tree
Last summer at the beach
**To my faithful readers – Yes, I’m not a poet it and I know it 🙂
