The Adventures of Ninja Geoffrey: The Not-So-Preemie Baby
This is a sweet little Kindle Edition book with cute graphics. It tells the story of a baby boy who is born too soon and has to stay in the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit until he’s strong enough and ready to go home with his parents.
Inspiring and Fun
It is inspiring and might be a good book for young children who have a sibling in NICU. Fun words are used that children might like such as ninjacocoon (his mom’s tummy) and ninjabator (incubator). While growing and getting stronger in the ninjabator, he dreams about being strong enough to save a dog and then becoming best friends with the dog. I enjoyed the story, the author’s creativeness, and the illustrator’s imaginative graphics!

Baby Geoffrey is now a happy and healthy toddler! Here he is in 2017 with his dad.
Author and Illustrator
The book was written by Dr. Argie Rivera PMHNP-BC, a family psychiatric nurse practitioner in Arizona. Illustrated by Alicia Georgie.
