Here’s an image of altered art I did with a 4-leaf clover. I love working with images and creating new versions. Which is your favorite? I think the top one is my fav.
A 4-leaf clover is a symbol of good luck, according to tradition, it represents other things as well. The first leaf represents faith, the second hope, the third love, and finally the fourth luck.
Did you know that lots of people get their clovers mixed up for St Patrick’s Day?
Some associate the 3-leaf clover with St Patrick’s Day while others will vouch for the 4-leaf.
The 3-leaf wins! It has been linked for centuries to Saint Patrick.
Yes, I know I used the 4-leaf in my image!
Much like a 4-leaf, a 3-leaf clover represents faith, hope, and love.
There has been debate about whether the 3-leaf clover is to be called a clover or a shamrock or even if the clover is a native Irish plant.
You’ve heard the saying – “Everyone is Irish on St Patrick’s Day.” Seriously though, I really do have Irish ancestors. How about you?
To end this, here’s a couple of riddles:
• What do you get when you cross poison ivy with a 4-leaf clover?
A rash of good luck.
•Why can’t you iron a 4-leaf clover?
Because you should never press your luck!
And last but not least, a good ole knock-knock joke:
Knock, knock
Who’s there?
Irish
Irish who?
Irish you a Happy St Patrick’s Day!
