Now, here’s my version:
SPARKLERS AND FIREWORKS
The children stared at the sky just as the fireworks began exploding overhead! They squealed in delight as their eyes looked upward.
We had started out early in the morning after breakfast by setting up our canopy on the beach. Our group consisted of hubby and I, along with our children and their spouses, and the children – our grandbabies!
Those precious grandbabies enjoyed building sandcastles and collecting seashells in between back and forth trips to play in the water. They were having a wonderful time and hubby and I enjoyed spending every minute with them!
After lunch, hubby and I felt like we needed a quick nap, the grandbabies did too! We hurried back to the beach house for some well deserved slumber.
When our nap was over we were back on the beach and the activities resumed. Our grilled supper that evening under the shade of the canopy was enjoyed by all.
As the sun was setting the children began to get excited. They knew as soon as it got dark enough that the fireworks would start. They began preparing for the sky show by playing with their own mini fireworks – sparklers! Who doesn’t love sparklers?
Soon enough the sky started lighting up with wonderful displays. The squeals of delight coming from the grandbabies thoroughly delighted me as well as my hubby and everyone else! Hubby and I loved watching them watching the sky.
What an awesome ending to a fantastic day with sparklers and fireworks. It had been a wonderful fourth of July celebrating our Independence Day!
