My recent purchase of some inspirational and scriptural coloring books have brought me much joy and they are so relaxing! The third page I colored was the Proverbs 3:5 page in the Color the Proverbs book. This time I used these dual tip markers by Artist’s Loft. They worked so much better than the pencils since I have arthritis and fibromyalgia, my wrist and fingers didn’t hurt while using them. However, these markers do bleed outside of the coloring lines and they run out of ink too fast! Also, the ink color doesn’t match the marker color as some of the light colors were very dark once on paper. This design was pretty with lots of botanicals. I did find that the words don’t stand out due to the background behind them not being solid.

Proverbs 3:5 was written by King Solomon as advice to his son. It is about trusting God in all things. He is the beginning and the end of all knowledge. Having faith pleases him. Trusting with all of our heart is a positive and beneficial duty, and it negates fear and doubt. Solomon is noted as being the wisest man that ever lived. He asked God for wisdom to rule the people of Israel and they recognized that his wisdom was divine. 1 Kings 4:32 says Solomon spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five. The proverbs were a reflection of the wisdom Solomon had gleaned throughout his life.
PROVERBS 3:1-8
1 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
