Ready? Here’s the prompt:
Looking out the door, all she saw was…
Now, here’s my version:
PEACE
Looking out the door, all she saw was peace. Standing at the sliding glass door staring out at the beach was pure bliss for her.
The sand was so pleasing to her eyes, nearly white in color, dotted with shells of various shapes, sizes, and colors.
The back and forth motion of the waves was almost hypnotic. The color of the water with its different shades of aqua and blue was hard to describe.
The clouds looked serene, so captivating. At other times the sky was a pretty shade of blue, no clouds to be seen.
An occasional seagull along with dolphins could be seen in the distance.
As she walked out onto the deck, the wondrous smell of the ocean and beach made her smile. The exact description was hard to pinpoint but included a fresh air aroma along with a salty scent as well as a fishy odor all combined to make up a pleasing fragrance.
The gentle breeze of the wind just added a perfect touch to the tranquility she was experiencing.
Walking on the beach and searching for special shells to collect were fav things she enjoyed. Sitting outside during the late evening hours watching the sun set was on her fav list as well.
Do you have fav things you enjoy, anything peaceful that just relaxes you?
