NO HOUSEWORK DAY
I’m reblogging this since it is nationally recognized but with COVID-19 I suspect there might already be a lot of rest and relaxation for some and that of course means no housework! Maybe there are others who will take a day of rest as I’ve been reading on social media how people are doing lots of cleaning and organizing, getting to things they just didn’t have time to do before the virus came along. Of course I’m also reading how some are bored out of their minds while others say that having their kids home from school is driving them crazy.
. . .
April 7 is No Housework Day! Yay, I love the sound of that. I bet you do too.
No Housework Day was created by Thomas and Ruth Roy, who also proclaimed March 26 as Make Up Your Own Holiday day. You may have read about this couple in magazines and newspapers.
So…no dishes, dusting, ironing, laundry, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming. I think I’ll throw cooking in there too!
#NoHouseworkDay is April 7 - Forget about the house - Relax and enjoy yourself! Click To TweetIt’s a day to relax and enjoy yourself, don’t worry about the house.
Do something just for yourself, the choices are endless:
• stay in bed all day
• relax with a good book
• go to the beach
• catch up on your adult coloring book
• spend the day with your loved ones
• meet your friends for lunch
• work on a jigsaw puzzle
• see a movie or movies
• lounge by the pool
• have a spa day
• go for a pleasurable walk
My idea of No Housework Day is relaxing while getting a massage and spending the day afterwards with my grandbabies. To be honest though, I actually have a lot of no housework days, not just on April 7… Shh, don’t tell anyone!
How will you spend the day?
