Pet peeve is defined as, according to Dictionary.com: a particular and often continual annoyance.

Do you enjoy attending link parties? I do! You might refer to them as blog hops, blog parties, link-ups, etc.
They’re fun and easy to join in. You can network with others, find new friends, get inspiration and ideas, and get traffic for your blog. What’s not to love about that?
I have “met” some terrific bloggers from all over the world and have developed a friendship with some of them.
I do have a pet peeve though when it comes to attending certain parties. These are great parties, however my pet peeve is that they use Linky Tools instead of the alternative InLinkz.
Both of these linking services have subscriptions if you want to display thumbnail links. Linky Tools is $2.00 per month, InLinkz is $2.99 per month.
Ok, InLinkz costs more but the service is better in my opinion. It’s fast and performs great, customer service is excellent!
My pet peeve with Linky Tools is that after I put in the URL to my blog post, I then have to copy and paste or type in the title of my post. The same with my name and email if required. Then if you want to add another link, you have to go back to the blog hosting the party and start all over.
InLinkz is different and in a better way. Once you attend a party that uses the InLinkz service, it recalls your email so you don’t have to keep typing it in. You copy and paste your blog post URL into the boxed area and voilà your blog post title appears as well as the main image from your post! If you want to add another link before going back to the blog hosting the party, there is an option to do that too!
Yes, the InLinkz link and image are affiliate links but I not only use the service, I like it and am recommending it.
Now, I understand by me posting this that those using Linky Tools might say or think –> If you don’t like our chosen linking service then don’t attend our parties <– What I would say is this: I hope that Linky Tools will make some changes that will benefit the hosts of these parties as well as their guests.
To be completely fair, there is one thing I like about Linky Tools and that is their Linky List Directory. It has an updated list of link-up parties showing when they start and stop. Maybe that’s an idea I ought to mention to the InLinkz staff.
So, is this a pet peeve of yours too?
