Lazy days of relaxation spent soaking up “vitamin sea” while at our beach house just can’t be beat! What a sight to behold waking early to watch the sun as it rises over the water seeing the first rays of light emerge! Collecting shells on the deserted beach is pure bliss as I listen to the waves crashing and gulls squawking while I smell a distinct aroma of the salty breeze blowing through the air.
When not at the beach house, one of my fav things to do for relaxation is adult coloring books. I found one that is just perfect to remind me of the peaceful moments spent at the beach. This coloring book, Seaside Life, included some nice scenes that I really enjoyed coloring.
I have multiple sets of markers – regular coloring markers, dual tip brush markers, and dual tip alcohol based ink markers – but I did find that it was hard to get a consistent flow when coloring large areas such as water and sky. Colored pencils might have worked better for those areas but I can’t use them. I have arthritis and fibromyalgia, and colored pencils make my wrist and fingers hurt.
My fav pages to color were these 3: the lighthouse, the bottles, and the deck overlooking the water. The pages were larger than what they appear as the sides were cut off when creating the collage.

Below are other pages that I colored and a sample of the ones I haven’t colored yet. As you can see, they are all mostly heavy with water and sky scenes. The book has 25 full size images to color, each measuring about 7.25″ x 9.75″. There are an additional 6 pages with 4 images each. The smaller images measure about 3″ x 3.75″ and are of the same 25 minus 1. As with the above, the pages were larger but the sides were cut off when I created the collage.
