QUESTIONS ABOUT YOU AS A GRANDMOTHER
WHAT DO YOUR GRANDCHILDREN CALL YOU: Nana
HOW MANY GRANDCHILDREN DO YOU HAVE: I have 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU GET TO SEE YOUR GRANDCHILDREN: We have 3 grandchildren that live in our city but because of their schedule we don’t see them anymore than the ones in WV. I usually see most of my grandchildren once or twice a month.
WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING A GRANDMOTHER: Everything is wonderful about being a grandmother. My grandchildren range from 1 yr old to 28 yrs old. I like to watch them develop their own personalities. It amazes me how they can be raised by the same parents but be such different unique personalities.
QUESTIONS ABOUT YOU
MARRIED, SINGLE, DIVORCED, WIDOWED: I am married to my second husband. We have been married 12 yrs.
HOW MANY CHILDREN DO YOU HAVE: I have two children, a son and daughter, and my husband has three, a son and two daughters.
DO YOU WORK OR ARE YOU RETIRED, WHAT IS OR WAS YOUR PROFESSION: I am a retired oncology nurse.
WHAT IS THE BEST AND WORST THING ABOUT GETTING OLDER: Oh my lol. I don’t really look at getting older in any certain way. As I say all the time – every day on this side of the grass is a good day. LOL. Every age has it’s pluses and minuses.
WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY: Lots of things make me happy. I love talking with my grandchildren, reading the comments on the blog, traveling, having plans, spending time with family and friends. I am not big on change, of any kind, good, bad, or indifferent, lol, so knowing what each day is going to bring makes me happy. There are very few surprises that make me happy.
WHAT 3 WORDS BEST DESCRIBE YOU: Loving, fun and slightly bitchy. Also pretty opinionated.
WHAT ARE 3 INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT YOU: I have lots of quirks, most have to do with spending money. I will spend $400 on a purse because it is on sale, but won’t buy bananas because they are 59¢ a pound, or drive 5 miles to save 2¢ on a gallon of gas.
HOBBIES: I really don’t have any hobbies. I like to read, I can sew, I can crochet and I go through spurts of doing each.
PETS: I am not an animal person.
FAV ICE CREAM: Chocolate with Reese’s Cups smashed into it.
FAV COLD DRINK: Iced tea and in the summer a gin and tonic.
FAV FOOD: I am not sure I have a favorite food. A good steak, a good pizza, a fresh salad, my favorite is probably whatever I am eating right now.
FAV AROMA: The air in all the different seasons. The smell of flowers in the spring, grass being mowed in the summer, fall with all the different smells of crushed leaves, fires burning, and winter with the fresh crisp smell of snow in the air.
FAV PERFUME: I have only worn probably five different perfumes in my life. I wore Design for 25+ years, now I wear Blue by Ralph Lauren.
FAV AUTHOR: I have lots. I read mysteries most often so J.D. Robb, Lee Child, David Baldacci, big fan of Stuart Woods, Lisa Gardner and Lisa Scottoline.
FAV MUSIC: Country and Christian.
FAV TV SHOW: The Big Bang Theory. This show always hits my funny bone and no matter how many times I have seen an episode I will watch it again.
FAV TV SHOW WHEN YOU WERE A CHILD: We didn’t have a TV till I was 10 or 12 yrs old so TV was not a big part of my childhood.
WERE YOU A GIRLY GIRL OR A TOMBOY AS A CHILD: More girly than tomboy. I have never liked to get my hands dirty. LOL. So even if I was running through the woods and swinging on grapevines, I still had on a matching outfit and neat hair.
SPRING, SUMMER, FALL, OR WINTER: I love summer. Everything about summer I love. The warm weather, picnics, casual clothing, sandals, the pool, vacations everything.
DO YOU HAVE A TALENT: I guess cooking would be my talent.
WHAT TALENT WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO HAVE: I would love to be able to sing, play a musical instrument, write a book, or paint a picture.
EARLY BIRD OR NIGHT OWL: I am neither.
HOW DO YOU RELAX: I spend a lot of time relaxing, it is amazing how retiring makes it so much easier to relax. Mostly I read.
MOVIES OR BOOKS: I am not a big movie person, and if I have read the book I never want to see the movie. If I am picking a movie I like old movies, give me a Doris Day and Rock Hudson movie any time.
CELL PHONE – APPLE OR ANDROID: Apple because my husband is a techie.
CALLING OR TEXTING: Both, they each serve a purpose.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU’D LIKE TO TELL US: I won’t think of anything else I should have wrote till I see what others say. LOL. Thank you for doing this, I look forward to reading what other bloggers have to say.
