NAME OF YOUR BLOG: MILLE FIORI FAVORITI – NEW YORK TO COLORADO — FROM CITY LIFE TO MILE HIGH LIFE

WHERE DO YOU LIVE: Littleton, Colorado
WHAT DO YOU WRITE ABOUT: My life, travels, occasional recipes. Half my blog is mainly about New York City, the other half is about places events, etc, in Colorado and the west.
HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THE NAME FOR YOUR BLOG: I liked words “Mille Fiori” which meant a “thousand flowers” but that name was already in use on blogspot, so I added “Favoriti” which means “favorite” in Italian, so my blog title means a “Thousand Favorite Flowers.”
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START BLOGGING: Blogs were a brand new phenomena on the internet and I wanted a new hobby as I had become an empty nester.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN BLOGGING: 10 years!
WHAT DO YOU FIND MOST CHALLENGING OR FRUSTRATING ABOUT BLOGGING: All the constant changes on blog platforms — my blog has pretty much the same template for all 10 years. I use blogspot as it is free.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU BLOG: Usually once a week.
DO YOU PARTICIPATE IN LINK PARTIES: Yes! Love them!
THE BEST THING ABOUT BLOGGING: All the wonderful friendships I have made through the years with people all around the world!

HOW MANY GRANDCHILDREN DO YOU HAVE: 4
HOW OFTEN DO YOU GET TO SEE YOUR GRANDCHILDREN: Very often — it is why my husband and I moved from NYC to Colorado.
WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING A GRANDMOTHER: Watching my grandchildren grow and seeing their personalities develop, and being able to share in their lives.

WHAT IS THE BEST AND WORST THING ABOUT GETTING OLDER: Best – appreciating life more! Worst – losing loved ones to illness or cancer.
WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY: I’m pretty easy to please, but I love to spend time with my grandchildren.
WHAT ARE 3 INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT YOU: I had a cornea transplant, I had curly hair before moving to Colorado — now it is flat!, I can draw well.
HOBBIES: Reading, travel, cooking, photography, gardening.
