BLOGGING GRANDMOTHERS SERIES 3 WITH HELEN FROM THE LAZY GASTRONOME
The 12th blogging grandmother to be featured in the Blogging Grandmothers Series 3 is Helen.
NAME OF YOUR BLOG: THE LAZY GASTRONOME
WHAT MAKES YOU SMILE: Sitting outside listening to the sounds of water and birds – ocean, river, or my backyard pond.
YOUR FAV SNACK: Brie cheese and caviar on garlic melba rounds. With prosecco of course!
WHAT QUOTE APPEALS TO YOU MORE THAN ANY OTHER: Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it. -Roald Dahl.
FUNNY OR SCARY MOVIE: I don’t like scary movies – funny? Anything with Melissa McCarthy.
POOL, LAKE, OCEAN, OR NONE: Ocean or lake.
DO YOU MONETIZE YOUR BLOG: Yes.
HOW DID YOU MEET YOUR SPOUSE OR PARTNER: It was a blind date – and love at first sight.
HOW LONG DO YOU PLAN ON BLOGGING: Until I can’t. I love it.
FAV TYPE OF MUSIC: I love it all. I was listening to my iPod yesterday and noticing the eclectic mix of music I have.
DOGS OR CATS: Cats!! (I love all animals, but I live with cats). We had four but lost three in a six month period. Very rough time. We have two now. Boudicca and Bilbo.
IF PAST LIVES ARE REAL, WHAT WAS YOURS: I was a mermaid.
ARE YOU AFRAID TO BE ALONE IN YOUR HOUSE: Oh no. I love to be alone – loud music playing and dancing around.
DO YOU HAVE ANY RECURRING DREAMS OR NIGHTMARES: Not anymore. Used to have dreams that when I was threatened I could fly away. Just run really fast and take off.
YOUR EARLIEST MEMORY: I was about 6 months old (or so my mother said) and I remember being put on a rock and cold water rushing over me. I remember crying and then the next thing was dad changing my diaper. My mom said she can’t believe I could remember it. But I do – vividly!
DO YOU HAVE A BUCKET LIST? IF SO, WHAT ARE THE TOP 5 THINGS ON IT: Don’t really have one. I’d love to visit Vermont in the fall though.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU’D LIKE TO SAY: I love to cook, I love to take photos, and in addition to The Lazy Gastronome, I have 3 other sites: Helen Fern Original Photography, Early Learning Tools Northwest, and My Big Fat Menopausal Life.
