BLOGGING GRANDMOTHERS SERIES 3 WITH ERICA FROM BEHIND THE SCENERY
The 23rd blogging grandmother to be featured in the Blogging Grandmothers Series 3 is Erica.
NAME OF YOUR BLOG: BEHIND THE SCENERY
SOCIAL MEDIA: Instagram • Pinterest
WHAT MAKES YOU SMILE: Grateful for many things that make me smile in my life. My three grandchildren, my daughters and our extended family. Watching my husband in his role as Grandfather.
YOUR FAV SNACK: Good, quality ice cream with minimal ingredients. I won’t mention a name (hint: starts with an H and ends with Dazs).
WHAT QUOTE APPEALS TO YOU MORE THAN ANY OTHER: A challenging question since there are many. First quote that comes to mind: “If you believe you can or cannot, you are right.”
FUNNY OR SCARY MOVIE: Funny or Sci Fi or Funny/Sci Fi combo.
POOL, LAKE, OCEAN, OR NONE: I am definitely a water girl. Lake swimming and ocean walks. Thankful I live near water.
DO YOU MONETIZE YOUR BLOG: I don’t.
HOW DID YOU MEET YOUR SPOUSE OR PARTNER: We met at work and rented a house together, all in the same week. The rest is history.
HOW LONG DO YOU PLAN ON BLOGGING: I am at the one year mark for beginning a blog. Much more engaging, inspiring, challenging, creative, fun than I would have expected. I am really enjoying connecting with the blogging community. How much longer? I have only just begun…
FAV TYPE OF MUSIC: Eclectic. Every genre, depending on the song and the mood. Often, The Sounds of Silence……and I truly mean “Silence.”
DOGS OR CATS: Can I answer both? For different reasons.
IF PAST LIVES ARE REAL, WHAT WAS YOURS: A healer.
ARE YOU AFRAID TO BE ALONE IN YOUR HOUSE: Not usually, unless ghosts plan on making a visit.
DO YOU HAVE ANY RECURRING DREAMS OR NIGHTMARES: Used to have the flying to escape and the teeth falling out dreams (I hear these are common). No longer these dreams. Occasionally, I dream about a space ship coming to visit our campsite.
YOUR EARLIEST MEMORY: Visiting my Grandparent’s home where they had a large vegetable garden and chickens. Drying apple slices in my Grandmother’s oven.
DO YOU HAVE A BUCKET LIST? IF SO, WHAT ARE THE TOP 5 THINGS ON IT: Never had an actual bucket list. Certain places that continue to appear in my radar, we make a point of visiting. Last two places, Iceland and New Zealand. On my list? Enjoying the “now.”
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU’D LIKE TO SAY: Being a Grandmother is not at all what I would have expected. On a daily basis the children are the teachers and I am the student. My love for them is endless and immeasurable. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to reflect on the above questions, Dee. Thank you for all of the effort you put into your blog site and the fun and interesting series.
