BLOGGING GRANDMOTHERS SERIES 3 WITH CANDI FROM INSPIRE MY STYLE
The 20th blogging grandmother to be featured in the Blogging Grandmothers Series 3 is Candi.
NAME OF YOUR BLOG: INSPIRE MY STYLE
WHAT MAKES YOU SMILE: Time spent with my grand kids always makes me smile. They are precious!
YOUR FAV SNACK: Coffee (I’m a coffee snob) and something sweet in my hand, like a cookie 🙂
WHAT QUOTE APPEALS TO YOU MORE THAN ANY OTHER: Proverbs 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.
FUNNY OR SCARY MOVIE: n/a
POOL, LAKE, OCEAN, OR NONE: I lived in S. Florida for 12 years, just moved back to Michigan 5 months ago, so the ocean has a lot of meaning for me, specifically Fort Myers Beach open waters. Lots of great memories there with my husband and family (when they visited). Having a water view of any kind is special to me.
DO YOU MONETIZE YOUR BLOG: Yes, absolutely. It is my business.
HOW DID YOU MEET YOUR SPOUSE OR PARTNER: We met at church.
HOW LONG DO YOU PLAN ON BLOGGING: As long as I am able.
FAV TYPE OF MUSIC: I enjoy a variety of music including country, contemporary Christian, some classical (I am a pianist) and pop rock.
DOGS OR CATS: None at the moment. I love both, but enjoy them at other people’s homes.
IF PAST LIVES ARE REAL, WHAT WAS YOURS: n/a
ARE YOU AFRAID TO BE ALONE IN YOUR HOUSE: No. I’ve lived alone for the past 3 1/2 years since my husband passed and am used to being alone.
DO YOU HAVE ANY RECURRING DREAMS OR NIGHTMARES: n/a
YOUR EARLIEST MEMORY: I remember being in the hospital when I had my tonsils out at 2 1/2 years of age. I remember standing up in my crib (yes, a crib) and there was a woman there with a dress on, a shirtwaist dress with a big, billowy skirt like was worn in the 1950’s. That’s the only memory I have of the experience, and I’m surprised I can still see that room.
DO YOU HAVE A BUCKET LIST? IF SO, WHAT ARE THE TOP 5 THINGS ON IT: Not really. I enjoy every day that is given to me. If the opportunity arises I’d like to see and explore more of the country (U.S.), hopefully some day!
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU’D LIKE TO SAY: I appreciate the Facebook groups, like Blogging Grandmothers (thank you, Dee) where it’s possible to connect with other bloggers who have similar niches. We can all learn from each other!
