BLOGGING GRANDMOTHERS SERIES 3 WITH ANNE FROM THE PLATINUM LINE
NAME OF YOUR BLOG: THE PLATINUM LINE
SOCIAL MEDIA: Facebook
WHAT MAKES YOU SMILE: I love watching birds feeding on my bird table, especially sparrows.
YOUR FAV SNACK: More of a meal than a snack, fish and chips at the seaside.
WHAT QUOTE APPEALS TO YOU MORE THAN ANY OTHER: “The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step.” I think it is very apt for blogging.
FUNNY OR SCARY MOVIE: Funny definitely.
POOL, LAKE, OCEAN, OR NONE: I like swimming in our local pool but I love walking by the ocean or a lake.
DO YOU MONETIZE YOUR BLOG: I don’t expect to earn a fortune but I do try to cover costs.
HOW DID YOU MEET YOUR SPOUSE OR PARTNER: We met over 40 years ago at a physics course at a local technical college. We both failed the exam but we invited the lecturer to the wedding.
HOW LONG DO YOU PLAN ON BLOGGING: I would like to carry on as long as I can if people are still happy to read what I write. I stated out intending to write a travel blog but now find most of my visitors are from overseas and that my most popular posts are about Bristol where I live.
FAV TYPE OF MUSIC: I don’t listen to music much but I am happy to have Irish folk music playing in the background.
DOGS OR CATS: Cats. We have an old tabby cat called Tilly that my daughter adopted when she was at university. We are cat sitting while she is teaching in Prague. I have always lived with at least one cat and can’t imagine our home without one.
IF PAST LIVES ARE REAL, WHAT WAS YOURS: I would have liked to have been a Victorian lady explorer with a long skirt and parasol.
ARE YOU AFRAID TO BE ALONE IN YOUR HOUSE: No, I enjoy my own company but I am not very good at repairs so I would need help.
DO YOU HAVE ANY RECURRING DREAMS OR NIGHTMARES: No, I sleep quite peacefully.
YOUR EARLIEST MEMORY: I can just remember my grandfather who died when I was two.
DO YOU HAVE A BUCKET LIST? IF SO, WHAT ARE THE TOP 5 THINGS ON IT: I would love to visit Africa or Asia. I keep trying to get fitter but I get distracted to easily.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU’D LIKE TO SAY: I have only just discovered the world of granny blogging. I have two grandchildren, a boy aged three and a girl aged two months so I am keen to exchange tips and ideas for this new stage in my life.
