BLOGGING GRANDMOTHERS SERIES 2 WITH MARISA FROM ALL OUR WAY
The 11th blogging grandmother to be featured for the Blogging Grandmothers Series 2 is Marisa.
NAME OF YOUR BLOG: ALL OUR WAY
SOCIAL MEDIA: Facebook • Google+ • Instagram • Pinterest • Twitter
WHAT IS YOUR FAV SAYING: A rose by any other name is still a rose. I would always say that to my kids — it was a joke. You can’t change what is — call it by any other name and it is still the same thing.
WHAT IS THE MOST UNUSUAL THING IN YOUR WALLET OR PURSE: Not too unusual — a flashlight.
DO YOU UNTIE YOUR SHOES WHEN YOU TAKE THEM OFF: I toe them off without untying 🤭
DOES WISDOM COME WITH AGE: Not necessarily. I think wisdom comes from experience. You can learn from it or not.
WHAT IS ONE THING THAT DRIVES YOU CRAZY: That’s difficult!! With age comes a bit of impatience, at least for me. But if I have to narrow it down it would be tardiness. I’m always early. I hate being late for anything.
WHEN YOU WERE A CHILD, WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GREW UP: A wife and mother. I know, not very ambitious but that was what I wanted. Yes there was going to be a career but the end career was finding my other half and raising our children. I’ve succeeded and been blessed!!
WHAT IS ONE THING YOU REALLY LIKE ABOUT YOURSELF: I loyal to a fault!! If I like you and call you a friend, you are under my wing forever.
DO YOU HAVE A GREEN THUMB: Yes but I haven’t had the chance to practice lately.
HAVE YOU GONE THRU MENOPAUSE? IF SO, WAS IT HARD TO DEAL WITH: Yes I have and I still get hot flashes. It wasn’t bad at all and I didn’t go through the terrible mood swings some women go through.
IF YOU COULD CHANGE ANYTHING ABOUT YOURSELF, WHAT WOULD YOU CHANGE: Hmmmm! I have a tendency to procrastinate, especially doing things I don’t like.
WHO IS THE ONE PERSON WHO HAS HAD THE GREATEST IMPACT ON YOUR LIFE AND WHY: My mamma. She taught me to believe in myself and that all things are possible. For being such a small lady she had incredible strength.
COULD YOU TAKE A VACATION AWAY FROM ALL TECHNOLOGY AND IF SO FOR HOW LONG: Yes! For a month I suppose. I would miss not being in contact with my children.
DO YOU KNIT, CROCHET, OR QUILT: I do them all. Before I started blogging I did quite of bit of sewing, knitting, and crocheting.
IF YOU WERE STRANDED ON A TROPICAL ISLAND, WHAT 3 ITEMS WOULD YOU WANT TO HAVE WITH YOU: My Honey, toothpaste, face cream.
ARE YOU EMBRACING OR FIGHTING GRAY HAIR: I’m a fighter!
IF YOU HAD A TIME MACHINE AND COULD USE IT ONLY ONCE, WOULD YOU VISIT THE FUTURE OR THE PAST AND WHY: The past. I have so many questions I want to ask my mamma, especially about her parents and my papa’s parents. I want to know about our past but everyone I could ask is gone.
DO YOU BELIEVE IN EXTRATERRESTRIALS: Yes, I believe the galaxy is so huge that there very well could be other forms of life.
IF A MOVIE WAS MADE OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT ACTRESS WOULD YOU WANT TO PLAY YOU? WOULD THE MOVIE BE AN ACTION FILM, COMEDY, DRAMA, HORROR, ROMANCE, OR SCI-FI: It would be a romance and I’d want Dixie Carter to play me. She has so much sass — I loved her as Julia Sugarbaker. And when Hubby and I met, well, let’s just say it was irresistible and immovable and something did give. 😍
HOW OLD DO YOU FEEL: I truly don’t know — I don’t feel old at all. That is until I try to get up quickly. Then there is a bit of stiffness.
WHAT ADVICE WILL YOU OR HAVE YOU GIVEN TO YOUR 18 YEAR OLD GRANDCHILD/GRANDCHILDREN WHEN THEY GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL: Be a leader and don’t let others influence what you believe. Stay true to yourself and pursue your dream.
