BLOGGING GRANDMOTHERS SERIES 2 WITH LORI FROM LOVE MY BIG HAPPY FAMILY

Series 2: Blogging Grandmothers Q&A |

Grammy's Grid Presents the Blogging Grandmothers Series 2 with Lori from Love My Big Happy Family

The 14th blogging grandmother to be featured for the Blogging Grandmothers Series 2 is Lori.

NAME OF YOUR BLOG: LOVE MY BIG HAPPY FAMILY

SOCIAL MEDIA: Facebook • Instagram • Google+ • Pinterest • Twitter • YouTube

WHAT IS YOUR FAV SAYING: We burn daylight. – Shakespeare

WHAT IS THE MOST UNUSUAL THING IN YOUR WALLET OR PURSE: A little zipper pouch full of tiny (¼ to ½ inch) toy critters. I use it to entertain grandkids at restaurants or whenever we have to wait.

DO YOU UNTIE YOUR SHOES WHEN YOU TAKE THEM OFF: No, but most of my shoes don’t have laces.

DOES WISDOM COME WITH AGE: For most people wisdom comes with age, but for some it escapes them entirely.

WHAT IS ONE THING THAT DRIVES YOU CRAZY: When someone says “I could care less” when they mean the exact opposite “I couldn’t care less.”

WHEN YOU WERE A CHILD, WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GREW UP: A teacher, always a teacher!

WHAT IS ONE THING YOU REALLY LIKE ABOUT YOURSELF: My creativity.

DO YOU HAVE A GREEN THUMB: I do!

HAVE YOU GONE THRU MENOPAUSE? IF SO, WAS IT HARD TO DEAL WITH: I have gone through menopause. I don’t feel like the physical changes are that hard to deal with, but aging in general is oftentimes difficult.

IF YOU COULD CHANGE ANYTHING ABOUT YOURSELF, WHAT WOULD YOU CHANGE: The fact that I’m often misunderstood because I’m an introvert.

WHO IS THE ONE PERSON WHO HAS HAD THE GREATEST IMPACT ON YOUR LIFE AND WHY: My mother, she’s the foundation of everything that I am.

COULD YOU TAKE A VACATION AWAY FROM ALL TECHNOLOGY AND IF SO FOR HOW LONG: I could, but I’d probably only want it to be around a week or so.

DO YOU KNIT, CROCHET, OR QUILT: I don’t know how to knit. I can crochet and quilt, but I don’t.

IF YOU WERE STRANDED ON A TROPICAL ISLAND, WHAT 3 ITEMS WOULD YOU WANT TO HAVE WITH YOU: My cell phone and food and water to consume while waiting for the rescuers I would call!

ARE YOU EMBRACING OR FIGHTING GRAY HAIR: Both? I put blonde highlights in my hair but leave around half of it my natural color.

IF YOU HAD A TIME MACHINE AND COULD USE IT ONLY ONCE, WOULD YOU VISIT THE FUTURE OR THE PAST AND WHY: I’ve already been to the past so I’d go to the future to visit my grandchildren when they are grandparents. I love that idea!!

DO YOU BELIEVE IN EXTRATERRESTRIALS: Yes.

IF A MOVIE WAS MADE OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT ACTRESS WOULD YOU WANT TO PLAY YOU? WOULD THE MOVIE BE AN ACTION FILM, COMEDY, DRAMA, HORROR, ROMANCE, OR SCI-FI: Kate Hudson would play me and right now it would be a drama but it’s not over yet so I’m holding out hope it could be a romance.

HOW OLD DO YOU FEEL: Twenty-five (but physically I’m 56 and I feel that too).

WHAT ADVICE WILL YOU OR HAVE YOU GIVEN TO YOUR 18 YEAR OLD GRANDCHILD/GRANDCHILDREN WHEN THEY GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL: Sometimes life can be very difficult so hold on tight and persist and persevere! Be innovative and think outside the box. Find and create beauty and joy wherever you go. Be kind to others and believe in yourself!!

Lori, thank you for letting me feature you! Awe, toy critters in your purse! I agree, wisdom sure does escape some people entirely. Wish I had a green thumb. I like your time machine idea!

Hi Lori! Happy Saturday! I love reading replies to the same questions all of us were asked. I also have pet peeves when it comes to another one that comes to mind is irredgardless — should just be regardless. And my mind is a lot younger than my body. Sometimes looking in the mirror I think who is that person and where did I go? Looking forward to finding out more about you.

Marissa, I agree! It’s fun to see how different individuals respond to the same questions! 😊
I also agree about it Irregardless / regardless! That’s ine I hadn’t really thought much about! 😮

So nice to get to know you better Lori. I love the idea of keeping toys in your purse for the grandchildren. I can also relate to being misunderstood. It happens to me a lot.
