BLOGGING GRANDMOTHERS SERIES 2 WITH GRAMMY DEE
This is a new series I’m doing with some awesome grandmother bloggers that wish to participate.
These are all fresh, new questions, not repeated from the first series.
I hope you will find it amusing, inspiring, and interesting! I’ll begin with myself…
NAME OF YOUR BLOG: GRAMMY’S GRID
SOCIAL MEDIA: Facebook • Google+ • Instagram • Pinterest • Twitter
WHAT IS YOUR FAV SAYING: Laughter is the BEST medicine!
WHAT IS THE MOST UNUSUAL THING IN YOUR WALLET OR PURSE: A souvenir penny with “I Love You” on it from my husband ♥
DO YOU UNTIE YOUR SHOES WHEN YOU TAKE THEM OFF: No, never!
DOES WISDOM COME WITH AGE: Yes, I think so. When I think back about my previous years, I just wish I knew then what I know now.
WHAT IS ONE THING THAT DRIVES YOU CRAZY: Listening to people chewing something crunchy. It’s a condition called misophonia.
WHEN YOU WERE A CHILD, WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GREW UP: A nurse.
WHAT IS ONE THING YOU REALLY LIKE ABOUT YOURSELF: My hair, it has always been my best feature! My hair stylist always compliments me on it, she also compliments the skin on my face, says I don’t look my age.
DO YOU HAVE A GREEN THUMB: Yes but it’s very pale green, not bright at all 🙁
HAVE YOU GONE THRU MENOPAUSE? IF SO, WAS IT HARD TO DEAL WITH: Yes, been there done that! I had hot flashes and mood swings but they were manageable.
IF YOU COULD CHANGE ANYTHING ABOUT YOURSELF, WHAT WOULD YOU CHANGE: My health. The arthritis and fibromyalgia are both painful on a daily basis but terribly painful during a flare up. The weakness and exhaustion is another symptom as well as the brain fog.
WHO IS THE ONE PERSON WHO HAS HAD THE GREATEST IMPACT ON YOUR LIFE AND WHY: That’s a tough one as I can’t narrow it down to one person. As a child, that person would be my grandmother. She was the only one I felt safe with and I knew that she loved me. How I longed to be able to live with her but couldn’t. My egg and sperm donors NEVER showed any love towards me nor did they ever tell me they loved me. And, I refer to them as such because they don’t deserve to be called parents. As an adult, that person is my husband. He is the love of my life and is so supportive of me. He is very loving, kind, and caring. I don’t know what my life would be like without him ♥
COULD YOU TAKE A VACATION AWAY FROM ALL TECHNOLOGY AND IF SO FOR HOW LONG: No, I couldn’t. I need my iPhone by my side 24/7.
DO YOU KNIT, CROCHET, OR QUILT: Crochet a bit, wish I were better at it. However, I made baby quilts for my children before they were born.
IF YOU WERE STRANDED ON A TROPICAL ISLAND, WHAT 3 ITEMS WOULD YOU WANT TO HAVE WITH YOU: A comfy bed, my iPhone, and a solar powered generator to charge the phone 🙂
ARE YOU EMBRACING OR FIGHTING GRAY HAIR: Embracing my gray!
IF YOU HAD A TIME MACHINE AND COULD USE IT ONLY ONCE, WOULD YOU VISIT THE FUTURE OR THE PAST AND WHY: I would visit the future so I could see how the lives of my grandbabies turned out ♥
DO YOU BELIEVE IN EXTRATERRESTRIALS: Yes! Humans on earth can’t be the only ones, it’s just not logical to me that we are alone in the universe.
IF A MOVIE WAS MADE OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT ACTRESS WOULD YOU WANT TO PLAY YOU? WOULD THE MOVIE BE AN ACTION FILM, COMEDY, DRAMA, HORROR, ROMANCE, OR SCI-FI: It would be Sally Field in a drama about my life.
HOW OLD DO YOU FEEL: Sometimes I feel really old and tired. Other times I feel younger. I can’t put an age number on those feelings. I suppose it’s the way you look at age. It’s just a number, right?
WHAT ADVICE WILL YOU OR HAVE YOU GIVEN TO YOUR 18 YEAR OLD GRANDCHILD/GRANDCHILDREN WHEN THEY GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL: That ANYTHING is possible, to reach for the stars, and don’t give up!
