Take a look at this wildflower collage of black and white photos and the sepia. It is surrounded by leaves with a tree trunk in the background.
Can you tell what color it is? Can you visualize the colors of the leaves, the tree trunk, and the center of the wildflower? Does the black and white appeal to you, how about the sepia, or would you rather see the wildflower in color?
There were no color photos back in the day when I was a young child. What a treat it would have been to see photos in color, however I never even imagined such a thing back then. These days my grandbabies think black and white photos are cool. Come to think of it, they are cool!
About the wildflower: It looks similar to the rosinweed shown on the Wildflowers of the United States website. The information says rosinweeds look very similar to sunflowers, but the seeds form from the ray flowers in rosinweeds, and from the disk flowers in sunflowers. Silphium pinnatifidum can be up to 10 feet tall. This wildflower can an be found in Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.
Comparing them together in this black and white, sepia, or color collage – which wildflower is more picturesque?
