Who knew there was such a day as this?
Be Late for Something Day was supposedly established by the Procrastinators’ Club of America, founded in 1956 by Les Waas. The club designated September 5 as the day to observe this unofficial holiday, as a day to promote the positive parts of procrastination.
I don’t like to be late for anything and it annoys me that some members of my family are always late!
I also don’t like sitting and waiting for an appointment especially since I am always there on time.
Doctor appointments always seem to be like this.
Some doctor offices are charging a fee for not showing up at an appointment unless you cancel 24 hours in advance.
Please tell me, how can you do that if you go to bed at night knowing you have an appointment the next day but wake up not feeling well?
We should be able to charge them for not seeing us on time or in a timely manner!
This unofficial holiday is said to remind us to slow down and enjoy the small pleasures of life.
In other words – Stop and smell the roses!
Guess what – I can stop and smell the roses and still not be late!
